What we collect

Only what you enter into the case review or contact form: a name, a phone number and/or an
email address, a contact preference, and any optional context you choose to add. The form does
not ask you to describe the abuse, and you should not send confidential documents through it.

Your browser also sends ordinary technical information when you load any website, an IP
address, a browser type, and the page requested. That is used to serve and secure the site.

What we do with it

  • To contact you about your enquiry, using the method you asked for.
  • To assess whether we may be able to help.
  • To meet our professional and legal obligations as attorneys.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other law firms or lead
services.
Submissions are stored in this site’s own system and delivered to the
practice’s case management system.

What we do not do

  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not ask for a Social Security number, financial details, or medical records through
    this website.
  • We do not publish your name, your enquiry, or any detail of your situation.

Confidentiality before you are a client

What you tell us is treated as confidential whether or not you go on to become a client.
Note, however, that contacting us does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. That requires a written agreement. Until it is in place, please do not send documents you
would not want disclosed.

Keeping it private on your own device

If someone else has access to your phone or computer, remember that your browser keeps a
history of pages you visit. Opening this site in a private browsing window stops the visit
being written to that history in the first place, and clearing your browser history afterwards
removes visits already recorded. On a shared device, a private window is the safer of the two,
because it leaves nothing to clear.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to meet the record-keeping
obligations that apply to attorneys. If you would like your enquiry deleted, contact us on
(646) 413-6394 and ask.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them
through it. An adult can contact us on behalf of a child.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page.

What actually happens if you contact us

Nothing is set in motion by asking a question.

  1. You speak to a person

Not a form, not an intake script. You do not have to describe what happened in order to have the conversation.

  2. We look into who had a duty

Which institution was responsible, what it knew, what records exist, and whether a claim can still be brought. That work costs you nothing.

  3. You decide

We tell you plainly what is possible. If you decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it and what you told us stays confidential.

  4. If you go ahead, we carry it

Filings, deadlines, records and the institution's insurers. Steps can be taken to protect your identity in the court record.
